New Trash and Recycling Cart Deliveries Begin May 13

Residents will receive new trash and recycling carts the week of May 13. Carts will be delivered to each home throughout the City as well as properties with four or less residential units.

The wheeled, 96-gallon carts are easy to maneuver and come with an attached lid to keep materials contained and dry.

As gatekeepers to the Atlantic Ocean, Ventnor has a particular responsibility to prevent litter from reaching the shore. Carts are an effective litter prevention tool that keep items from escaping on windy days.

The carts are funded through a grant obtained from the Recycling Partnership as well as the City’s multi-year shared service collection contract with ACUA. Carts are expected to be delivered in May 2019 (specifically the week of May 13).

An informational package will be included with each delivery. Click here to download. The carts are considered the property of the City and must be kept with the residence. Please see the FAQ sheet below for additional information.

Public Works will remove old containers residents would like to discard the week of June 3 - June 7,  *but residents must schedule pickup* by calling Public Works at 609.823.7935. Buckets must be empty and at the curb. Residents may also use old containers for other purposes, or added storage at the curb *only if* they have lids. Residents can also dispose of plastic containers at the ACUA rigid plastics drop off in Egg Harbor Township (acua.com/rigidplastics).
