Food Truck Festival and Movies on the Beach Coming to Ventnor

Boardwalk Entertainment will host a Ventnor Food Truck Festival on June 10th at Ski Beach in Ventnor Heights, and weekly Movies on the Beach, Mondays through July and August on Suffolk Ave. The two events are the first of its kind to take place in Ventnor, and are free to the public.

"While planning our event season, I had the opportunity to meet the commissioners of Ventnor and found the town would be a great addition to 2017," said owner of Boardwalk Entertainment, Amanda Thomas. "Commissioner Kriebel took me on a great tour of town, and really showed me that Ventnor is very invested in its community. I like to host events in cities that have a strong sense of community, I am happy to be able to work with Commissioner Kriebel and the City of Ventnor for these events."

The Ventnor Food Truck Festival will come to Ventnor on June 10th. Seven food trucks will line the field at Ski Beach from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a few retail and craft vendors, along with live music for the day. Ski Beach is a desirable location for this event, and Boardwalk Entertainment hopes to draw at least 500 attendees. There's plenty of fun for the kids with a bounce house, face painting, balloon artists and more.

The Movies on the Beach event is planned for every Monday at Suffolk Ave Beach, where the volleyball courts are located. An inflatable movie screen will be placed on the beach, along with a food and snack vendor for the evening. Popular, family-friendly movies will be shown each week through July and August.

"I'm convinced a food truck event at Ski Beach and beach-front movies are a perfect fit for summer in our city," said Commissioner Tim Kriebel. "Amanda Thomas from Boardwalk Entertainment worked with all our departments to create fun and family-friendly events. These events will be a great addition to everyone's summer and I hope will encourage walking or biking to take part in them."

Boardwalk Entertainment was the creator and promoter of the 2016 Celebrate America Weekend featuring Tim McGraw, Hunter Hayes, and Maggie Rose. This year, the company will host the Pro Footvolley Tour in Wildwood, along with the Wildwood Food Truck Festivals, and additional events in South Jersey including some that are soon to be announced.

More information on these events will be available within the coming weeks. Entry into the events is free. To become a vendor, please contact info@boardwalkentco.com or visit www.boardwalkentco.com
