The Planning Board is an appointed Board of Ventnor City made up of residents and City officials whose duty is to clearly and effective enforce and manage the Zoning Ordinances and ensure that the Master plan of the City of Ventnor City is maintained. The Board hears applications of residents twice a month. 

It is our goal to fairly and openly administer the requirements for development in Ventnor as set forth in the Master Plan and the Land Use Ordinance. We endeavor to expedite zoning/planning approvals, to explain and clarify regulations in our ordinance as well as outside jurisdictions, such as FEMA, NJDEP and others. We assist those requiring actions by the Planning Board, in terms of making the application process as straightforward as possible, with as little bureaucracy as the law allows.
