Welcome Wounded Warrior to Downbeach on September 20, 2022

American Legion Post #469 is preparing for its 11th annual Wounded Warrior Week. This year’s Wounded Warrior will be Purple Heart recipient, U.S. Army SSG Trevor Brunell who is still recovering from injuries received during his 2016 and 2018 tours in Afghanistan.  Trevor and his wife, Kara, will arrive from Columbia, Georgia on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

When Trevor and Kara arrive, they will be expecting a welcoming BBQ with local folks.  hey will know nothing about a motorcade parade.  Legion members will bring the family to the Ventnor Plaza Shopping Center parking lot at 5:20 PM on September 20th.  They will then be placed in an open limo for their SURPRISE motorcade/parade down Dorset and Atlantic Avenues through Ventnor, Margate and Longport, to the park behind Longport’s Borough Hall for the welcoming BBQ.  

Help us give them a warm welcome to the area by lining up along the parade route!
