Update on Absecon Island Beach Replenishment Project

The Ventnor City portion of the Absecon Island Beach Replenishment Project is quickly approaching. Equipment staging and mobilization continues in preparation for all necessary components to be placed and ready to go for the arrival of the Dredger Galveston on January 4, 2025. Dredging work is expected to begin on January 4, 2025, and the work is estimated to take 24 days. It is not expected to impact the upcoming polar bear plunge event on January 1, 2025.
